My client delivers quality construction, turnarounds and maintenance solutions across all Energy Sectors. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Instrumentation Estimator to join their team in Midrand. This permanent role is ideal for professionals with strong tendering, cost estimation, and project management expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and analyse tender documents, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare accurate E&I cost estimates and tenders.
- Verify materials take-off, bills of quantities, and specifications.
- Conduct commercial adjudication of materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop complete project cost estimates in line with company procedures.
- Introduce and apply new estimating techniques.
- Conduct site visits when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with procurement and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate bid analyses and documentation for full traceability.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ technical experience in Electrical and Instrumentation projects with proven tendering ability.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and engineering procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy) software.
