Large retail group in Ghana seeking Senior Brand manager to manage & coordinate the Marketing Mix- Digital and social content led campaign development, supporting new product development cross functionally, sales planning and campaign tracking.

Be part of an exciting F&B business that would encompass a total of 50 quick service restaurants / outlets across 7 well-known brands by the year 2024/2025 in Ghana and would be the largest by any business group in the said geography.

Bring your Retail Business Development and/or Real Estate and/or Hospitality experience on board this performance driven Brand management role within the Food & Beverage business of the Group.

Duties

Marketing communication (50%)

  • Primary campaigns- support campaign development by leading still shoots, work back-plans and supporting production of video content development;
  • Secondary campaigns- leads the campaigns end to end by owning the brief, shoots, production, and rollout;
  • Social & Digital;
  • Define the Social Media strategy for the concerned brand in the region and drive “Brand over time and Sales over night agenda”;
  • Constantly learn and adapt to changing social landscape. Understand and leverage learnings on social media from best social media practices from other markets, regional brands and brands from other categories;
  • Be the thought leader on expanding the core creative idea on Digital media. Propose creative assets for each platform, bring innovative solutions on format usage and execution;
  • Be a constant learner to adapt to changing digital media environment. Learn from performance matrix of ongoing campaigns and best practices from the category and outside;
  • Create digital assets (Owned – Website, App and Bought- Digital banners, rich media) content for permanent layers and LTOs (limited time offer) with the help of creative agency/ in- house creative team. Ensure high impact content delivered as per defined project timelines;
  • Liaise with in house creative teams/ media and or advertising agency to ensure on time execution while delivering high impact digital content;
  • Lead SEM content for campaigns across different markets. Ensure optimal content and timelines while liaising with regional media agency.

 

New product development (30%)

  • Collaborating with cross functional team to help develop new products and maybe required to be involved in working out COS of recipes with the management team(s)/ business team(s).

 

Sales planning & Campaign Tracking (20%)

  • Support in track sales impact of campaigns, mixes and help plan for corrective actions if needed;
  • Support tracking consumer feedback / response data or consumer data with ongoing sales information;

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree level qualification essential, with major in Marketing/Digital marketing;
  • 6-8 years marketing experience essential, preferably in an FMCG, Consumer good or QSR industry;
  • Well versed with Brand communication, Innovation and Digital marketing.
  • Excellent English speaker, preferably native language.

Other Desirable Traits

  • Manage multiple projects at pace, defining and adhering timescales
  • Strong commercial skills, high comfort level with excel sheets and analysis
  • Think strategically with the ability and determination to grow to a bigger role
  • Relationship Management. A track record of being able to foster strong relationships with colleagues, partners and clients (internal and external)

Other Advantageous Skills

  • University degree from a reputable institution; major in Finance/Business< real Estate, or Engineering / MBA would be advantageous.
  • 8+ years of experience in Retail Business Development and/or Real Estate and/or Hospitality (Quick Service Restaurants would always be an added advantage)
  • Previous business experience in West Africa or Africa is a plus.
